Piano Gala – Grand Opening of the 2010-11 Concert Season

A real treat for all piano lovers! Presented by graduate students from Yale University who are prize winners of international piano competitions. The program will include solo piano works by Mozart, Liszt, Chopin, Schubert, and others.

Tatiana Sarbinska, Kolio Kolev and Vocal Ensemble “Orfeia
Nov. 12 (Friday), 7:30 pm

The phenomenal Bulgarian singer Tatiana Sarbisnska is joined by Kolio Kolev and the vocal ensemble “Orfeia” in a program of Bulgarian folk songs, Bulgarian church chants, Bulgarian old town songs, Russian gypsy romances and Jewish songs.

Young Musical Stars Gala

Come to hear the most talented young musicians of the Washington, D.C. area. The program will include solo and chamber music performances by prize winners of local and national music competitions.

Program: works for flute and piano by Zaimov, Richardson, Rothgarber, Taskov, Maggio, Gregoretti and Gach

Andrea Ceccomori and Elitza Harbova as a flute and piano duo have been performing together since 2006. They have completed three discographies for the Union of Bulgarian Composers, L.P. Records (Bulgaria) and VDM Records (Italy). They have been heard in concerts throughout Italy, Bulgaria, United States. They collaborate frequently with the Italian Publisher RAI Trade.
