Opening of the 2026-2027 18th BMS Concert Season

 

Welcome to the 18th Concert Season of the Bulgarian Music Society Concert Series! We are pleased to invite you to our annual Music Salon, an evening devoted to the power of music to bring artists and audiences together across cultures and traditions. This year’s Salon presents eleven prize-winning young musicians from the United States and China, whose artistry will be heard in a diverse program of piano, violin, voice, winds, and chamber music. The program features works by Chopin, Liszt, Fauré, Bellini, Ravel, Villa-Lobos, Pann, Zi, and Xinyang. This event is a co-presentation by the Bulgarian Music Society and the Washington International Young Artists Music Series (www.wiyams.com).

VIVA LA PIANO: JIARUI LI

Prizewinner of the 2026 Lancaster International Piano Festival and Competition

A special treat for piano music lovers! Join us for a wonderful evening of piano music with Jiarui Li, an exceptionally gifted and dynamic young pianist and prizewinner of numerous national and international competitions. Her recent honors include First Prize in the 2026 Hershey Symphony Concerto Competition and Second Prize in the 2026 Lancaster International Piano Festival and Competition. The program will feature beloved masterpieces by Beethoven and Liszt - celebrating the beauty, passion, and virtuosity of the piano.  Presented by the Bulgarian Music Society in collaboration with the Lancaster International Piano Festival and Competition (www.lancasterpianofest.com).
